Guillaume Grosso

As Director for Sovereign & Private Sector Engagement, Donor Relations & Campaigns and Co-Chair of Gavi’s replenishment, Guillaume has helped secure more than $8.8bn to accelerate vaccination in developing countries, an amount that will enable the immunization of more than 300 million children. In addition, he has beenworkingwith a number of governments, philanthropists,and corporations to foster their support for COVAX and the COVAX AMC, a ground-breaking initiative to accelerate equitable access to Covid-19 vaccines across the world. Guillaume has also led the design and negotiation of breakthrough innovative financial instrumentsand public-private partnerships in support of global health. Prior to Gavi, Guillaume held key leadership positions in several development organizations. He founded and directed Bono’s ONE Campaign Office in Parisandserved as Chief Operating Officer of the OECD’s Development Centre, the global policy think tank. During his time at the African Development Bank, he contributed to critical work on reform, strategy,and Fragile States,and helped create the Infrastructure Consortium for Africa launched at the Gleneagles G8 Summit. Guillaume’s career began in corporate banking at SocGen and strategy consulting at BCG. Besides his work at Gavi, Guillaume is currently serving as Board member of HRH Princess Caroline of Monaco’s World Association of Children’s Friends (AMADE) and has contributed to a number of global task forces and efforts to help address developmentand health issues. Most recently, these include the G7 Primary Health Care Knowledge Initiative and the Education Commission’s Save Our Future campaign. He has also authored various opinion pieces and been invited to lecture at INSEAD, the Paris Institute of Political Sciences (Sciences Po), the Institute for International and Strategic Affairs and Webster UniversityGeneva. In 2021, Guillaumewas presentedwith the Force for Good Award, bestowed each year to one of 60,000 INSEAD alumni globally in recognition for “inspiring leadership, exemplary social impact, and exceptional accomplishments”. Guillaume is a graduate from Ecole des Mines ParisTech and CDI and holds an MBA from INSEAD. He is married and has two children.
